The Ramblas are right at the heart of Barcelona. Night or day, the hustle and bustle never stops. It’s true to say that the Ramblas never sleep. The street is full of newspaper kiosks, flower stalls, restaurants, and shops, not forgetting the famous food market of the Boqueria, the Virreina Palace and the Liceu Theatre. The Ramblas stretch from the Plaza de Catalunya down to the port. There, just by the statue of Christopher Columbus, the Rambla de Mar footbridge links the Ramblas with the new shopping center of Maremagnum.

How to get to the Hotel Continental

TAXI: In the Airport of Barcelona BCN there is a great flow of Taxis at your disposition. The journey takes approximately 30. See amount in taxa meter. The Taxi will leave you at the entrance of the Hotel. Ask the driver to take you to: Hotel Continental Barcelona 138 Rambla de Canaletes.

AEROBUS: The AeroBus takes you directly from the Airport to Barcelona. Plaza Catalunya is the nearest stop to Hotel Continental Barcelona. The bus runs from 5:00am until 1:00am, every day, all year round. The bus stop is only a 5 minutes walk from the Hotel.

TRAIN: The TRAIN from the Airport takes you directly to Barcelona and Passeig de Gracia station. The schedule is from 6.00am until 23:30pm, with a frequency of 20 minutes. The journey lasts 20 minutes until Passeig de Gracia Station. The Hotel Continental Barcelona is only 10 minutes walking distance from the Psg. de Gracia Station.

There are buses from Girona airport every 60 min. with destination Barcelona. The journey takes approx. 70 min. and the bus arrives at the North station in Barcelona. From the bus station, you can take the red metro line until plaza Catalunya. The Hotel Continental Barcelona is only a 5 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya.

TAXI: The fastest way to get from the Maritime Terminal Palacruceros to Hotel Continental Barcelona is by Taxi. There are always taxis waiting outside the terminal that will bring you to the door of the Hotel Continental Barcelona. In the opposite case, taxi will drop you off in front of the terminals departure hall.

Sants Train station

TAXI: At Sants Train station there are always taxis waiting. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Ask the driver to bring you to Hotel Continental Barcelona, Rambla de Canaletes, 138.

METRO: From Sants train station metro Line number 3 direction Canyelles, takes you to Plaça Catalunya which is within 5 minutes walking distance to the Hotel. If you plan to travel more than 5 journeys with the metro during your stay, we recommend buying the T10 that can be between people travelling together.

BUS: Bus number 66 Collblanc-Verneda takes you to the corner of Gran Vía with Rambla Cataluña, within 10 minutes walking distance.

Francia Train Station

You can take the metro from Barceloneta metro station L4 (yellow line) to Urquinaona.Once there, the Hotel Continental Barcelona is within 5 minutes walking distance. Another option is to take bus number 14 to Plaza Catalunya, which is just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Paseig de Gracia Train Station

Arriving by Train to Passeig de Gracia train station, where local, regional and International trains arrive. From Psg. de Gracia train station until the Hotel Continental Barcelona, there is no need of any transport, as its only 10 minutes walking distance. If you have luggage we suggest taking a taxi.

‘L’accueil charmant’

"La chambre était très propre, l'accueil charmant. Il y a un parking public (payant) en face pour se garer ce qui est précieux à Barcelone. Ensuite tout se fait à pieds depuis l'hôtel qui est à deux pas de la place Catalogna. Le buffet gratuit ouvert 24/24h est très bien."

‘Tout aimé dans cet hôtel’

J’ai tout aimé dans cet hôtel. L’emplacement, le charme suranné mais magnifique d’un hôtel particulier. Du hall d’entrée aux salons, en passant par les chambres très cosy et confortables (trop petites pour être aux normes 4 étoiles, mais qui en font un trois étoiles ++) à la formule dînatoire 24/24H. A noter que malgré le fait d’être sur la Rambla, les chambres sont parfaitement insonorisées.

‘Excelente ubicación, personal atento, buffet 24h – todo perfecto’

El personal muy amable y atento. La ubicación excelente. Céntrico, cerca boca de metro, tiendas, 20min andando del zoo. Las habitaciones muy limpias. Nos encantó poder comer y beber gratis las 24h del día. Repetiremos sin duda. Un sitio con encanto. Viajamos con un niño pequeño y súper bien!

‘Todo práctico, cómodo y funcional’

"Cada objeto de la habitación era práctico, cómodo y funcional. Y el balcón sobre la Rambla lo mejor. El hecho de tener acceso al bufé a cualquier hora del día facilita y abarata la estancia en Barcelona."
